I joke and tell my intuitive coaching and mediumship clients that I’m sort of like a phone operator. You call me and I call Spirit and pass along the information you are asking about—and while it does work like this for my work—it isn’t always so easy for myself. I have a few tried and true methods that help me, when it feels like Spirit isn’t picking up their direct line.
I find that when the leaves begin to change color, I also begin to change. It happens every fall. The cool air comes in and as nature shifts, so do I. Sometimes it’s big shifts, sometimes smaller ones, but both are important in the process of evolving more deeply into who we are at our core.
In my sessions and my classes, I chat a lot about this idea of your life’s story. I also think the term “story” can be interpreted many ways–your belief systems, your actual story plot point by plot point, your repeating patterns, etc. But at its most basic, story is the essence of who you are and how you came to be. That’s a pretty sacred thing, yet we often refer to our story in critical terms–as something we tell ourselves, but isn’t really true, or something that needs to be adjusted or fixed–so that we can go out into the world and live our fullest life.
It’s interesting, so many people want to know what their future holds during a reading, but I think the most powerful thing you can do is to understand your past. Have you ever had a moment in life where someone tried to put a narrative on you—tried to tell you what your story was going to be if you didn’t do X, Y, or Z?
