Welcome to February! Thank you for tuning in this month. I’m looking forward to exploring the question, “What do you need to know about opening your heart more?” I know traditionally with this month thoughts of love arise, but the kind of love I’m talking about starts with a capital “L”. It’s the divine source energy—the kind we talk about as mediums when we say “follow the Love” to connect with Spirit. And that’s the Love that we’re opening our hearts up to. Not that the other love doesn’t have value but lower case love is a facet of Love with a capital “L”. But, before we dive into that, I want to let you know that the deck I’m using is the Modern Witch Tarot by Lisa Sterle.
So, let’s jump in!
The collective card for this month is Three of Wands Reversed. So, what do we need to understand as a collective about opening our hearts more? Three of Wands points to the idea of fear—fear that if you open your heart more you’ll get hurt or you’ll be vulnerable. Fear that things won’t turn out the way you want them to. Fear that you won’t know how to open your heart more. And that fear blocks your way forward.
I was just chatting something like this with a friend. I was telling her that I’ve gotten to the point in my business where in order to take it to the next level and really expand, I have to take a risk. It’s like I’m sitting on a precipice and if I don’t take the risk, then I don’t get to move forward and if I take the risk I may not move forward in the way that I thought it would go. But no matter what I have to sort of rip the band aid off to see the next step. A true leap of faith if you will.
Opening your heart is the same. In order to open your heart, you have to take the risk, not knowing where you will land. But at the same time the thought of risking that opening makes your want to close your heart and keep it safe. And let me be clear this could be relationships, spirit, really opening your heart to anything. And you can stand on that precipice all day but a choice has to be made and to move forward, you sort of know what choice that is. And you can stay and not make that choice and that’s ok, but know that things will stay the same. And for any given one of us—sometimes that safe choice is ok. But, if you’re feeling that nudge and wanting more, a calculated risk may be what’s needed.
So if that seems a little vague I get it, but hopefully hopping into the individual cards will help clear things up. So let’s do that now. If you haven’t chosen a card yet, now would be the time. Pick card 1, 2, or 3 asking the question "what do you need to know about opening your heart more?"
Card #1 folks—King of Wands: With wands coming up as a response to this question, it’s calling us to look at this idea of creative inspiration or creative fire. For the card 1 folks, opening your heart more—unlocking that next expansion—happens through creative expression and following the things that fire you up. Something to remember here is that creative expression can mean art, music, etc. but it doesn’t HAVE to. For some that creative expression may come out as a fire to make change ro to transform yourself or your community. It can be gardening or cooking or writing or what ever lights you up. Each time you follow tht fire or that passion, you open your heart up more. And so your “job” is to discover how that flame what’s to be expressed and then take action on that. It will be different for everyone. But you’ll know you found it when you feel or know that heart swell and maybe even a little intuitive fire bubble up inside of you.
Card #2 folks—Five of Wands Reversed: For card 2 folks, in order to open your heart you need to feel supported and safe. Totally makes sense. If you feel like you’re working too hard in a toxic way or competing against others, your heart will shut down fast. So what does this mean for you? It means that if you aren’t feeling supported you’re not even going to consider opening your heart. So sometimes opening up, looks like walking a way for a hot second or giving yourself space. You’re going to find the clarity you need away from the group rather than in the midst of it all. Finding time for quiet walks, meditation, mindfulness—anything that allows you to tune into you in a way that brings peace will help you feel safe and ready to open your heart. After you find it on your own and in quiet, you’ll be able to move back into the group in a way that you feel supports the discoveries you made about yourself. But you need to definitely step back and get that space beforehand.
Card #3 folks—Temperance: Card 3 folks, you’re also looking for a similar feeling of peace as the 5 of wands folks, but you’re going to find it in a different way. It’s going to be a little bit of this and a little bit that. Meaning, sometimes you’ll need the energy of people to open you up and then you’ll follow it up with quiet or vice versa. You are also attracted to balance at this moment. Making choices and decisions that support your well-being over all, and that helps you to open your heart more. When you find that perfect combination for you, you feel safe enough to open up and got for it. Don’t be shy about taking your time and playing with things first. This isn’t about taking action—it’s about taking intentional action. Action based on what you know or feel to be true. So you may want to listen in to the Card 1 and 2 readings and kind of take a bit of that and this to play with as you move forward.
There’s a reason psychics and mediums are always going on about your heart space, Love and opening up to it. Love isn’t just about relationships. It’s so much more. Love is your connection to your inner voice, your higher self, Spirit, your loved ones, your self-love, the list goes on. Love helps you tap into the perceptive needed to move forward and gives you the courage and trust to do it. Opening up your heart a little bit more, may be the nudge you need to see the change you are craving.
So let’s recap:
Collective: Fear is a real thing when opening up your heart. It’s not something to be bypassed or kicked aside. Take time to sit with it and see how it’s speaking to you and then figure out how you want to move forward with that knowledge.
Card 1: Follow your creative fire—if it lights you up, it will open you up.
Card 2: Quiet and the space to breathe is key for you. Find some alone time to get clarity on how you want to open up.
Card 3: You’re mixing and matching to find a balance that works for you. So it might look like alone time and creative time and people time. Don’t be afraid to take your time and get clear on what you want before you commit to anything.
And that’s February!
Let’s see, what fun things are coming up? Andrea and I have opened up March slots for readings. So if you’ve never had a reading with 2 mediums at once, now is your chance!
We’re also going to be offering a free week-long class this Spring—around the first week in May, so keep an eye out for that in the newsletter. We will be helping start to discover your purpose. We’re excited about that—it’s going to be fun!
We will also be offering a paid automatic writing workshop in April, as well. It’s one of my favorite things to do so I can’t wait to share that with you all.
And the Spiritual Evolution Collective is unfolding. We’re focusing a lot on how to trust your inner voice, your clairs, and intuition this month and playing with the idea of what evolution means for each person. We’ve already had two Open Mics and our third is coming up. Open Mic is like an intuitive happy hour for spiritually curious people. We gather together in the Collective with a cup of tea or coffee and open up our mics for readings, questions, and coaching.
If you aren’t on the waitlist but are curious about it all head on over to www.adventureswithspirit.com for more information.
Thanks for tuning it–looking forward to seeing you all in march!
