The Missing Link Between Intuition and Self-Trust

Ever catch yourself thinking, If I were just more intuitive, I’d finally trust myself?

It’s a loop so many of us get stuck in – treating intuition like a muscle that just needs more reps.

So, we gather intuitive hit after intuitive hit, fill our journals to the brim, chase every cosmic wink – and still we hesitate when it’s time to move because…

You can be wildly intuitive and still not trust yourself.

Yep, those two things are connected – but they’re not the same.

Intuition is insight.
Self-trust is the courage to act on it.

And that courage doesn’t come from being “more intuitive.” It comes from having a grounded sense of self.

Something steady enough to hold what your intuition shows you, even when it bumps up against fear, conditioning, or everyone else’s expectations.

The problem is that most spiritual spaces stop short of teaching this.
They give you a million ways to strengthen intuition, but not the tools to stay anchored when the intuitive hits ask you to actually change something.

When you don’t know how to hold what you feel –  to name it, test it, or stay with it long enough to understand it – intuition gets tangled up with everything else: fear, stories,, and self-doubt.

It’s not that your intuition’s off. It just can’t get through the noise.

When trust is solid, intuition gets clearer. You stop chasing signs and start hearing what’s already there.
So it’s not about one more meditation or card spread, but more about practical, repeatable skills that strengthen your self-trust from the inside out.

If you’ve been chasing intuition hoping it would give you trust, you’re not alone BUT you are solving the wrong problem.

The good news is, self-trust isn’t gifted. It’s a skill you can build.
And once you do, that skill doesn’t shake every time life does.

PS That’s the work we do in Through the Looking Glass. We use tarot as a guide to help you develop the grounded sense of self that lets your intuition carry real weight in how you live and lead. Join us here.
