The Gift of Saying No

What if saying no, was a gift for both people? Often we yes to things in life because we feel that we "should" or we don't want to let the other person down. But what if no is really a gift? What if, by saying "no", you allow the other person the room or space they need right at that moment?

Saying no for me is about balance. It's about making sure I don't over-give when my Soul Tank isn't full. Today my tank is quite empty. It was an amazing week, but I'm tired and a little under the weather, so I'm saying "no" to a Facebook live today. Not because I don't enjoy it, but because I can't bring my full self to the table today. And you are worthy of having me show up with my full self ready to go. Instead, I'm going to focus on recharging and re-balancing.

So, I offer this question to you: What is the gift of my no to you today? What will you do with that extra 15-30 minutes you would've been on FB with me? Will you ground? Or meditate? Will you go outside and be in nature and recharge? Will you take a nap? Or maybe you will pick up that book you've been wanting to read?

Do something with the "no" in your life today. Fill your Soul Tank, regroup, recharge, create joy...Then ask yourself: What do I need to say "no" today and pass the gift of "no" to someone you love...
