We’re progressing with the Major Arcana to The Empress this month. We started off with The Fool: new beginnings, new starts, adventures. Then The Magician: energy begins to manifest. Moving forward into The High Priestess: urging us to tap into our intuition. Going within helps to give birth more fully to that new beginning. And that’s where The Empress comes into play.
We’re progressing with the Major Arcana into The High Priestess. So far, we’ve explored The Fool, new beginnings, and The Magician, bringing those new beginnings to life. So how does the High Priestess fit in then? In order to move forward, you need to tune into your own inner wisdom for the next steps of your journey.
Raise your hand if you’ve ever bought a tarot or oracle deck, only to find that when it arrived at your door that the deck just really wasn’t for you. I totally have. And it’s such a bummer when it happens. I usually discover that it’s just not going to work when I open the box and play with it for a bit.

How do you connect directly to your Spirit Team? Now that your introductory tour is complete, let’s get down to the next important step—how the heck do you connect with them? There is no one “right” way, but here are five ideas to play with...
One of my favorite tarot decks to work with is the Wildwood Tarot by Mark Ryan & John Matthews and illustrated by Will Worthington. It’s rich images, soulful messages, and shamanic energy make this my go-to deck for deep healing and seasonal readings, such as Winter Solstice. The deck is filled with beautiful pre-Celtic-inspired imagery. From the Green Man to the Blasted Oak to The Sun, the images are a delight to the eyes and easy to connect to on an intuitive level.
Tarot lovers are you looking for something fun to jump into this summer? The Housewives Tarot: A Domestic Divination Kit is for you. It’s campy, irreverent, and has bold, eye catching illustrations. From the beginning, this deck, designed by Paul Keppel and Jude Buffum, isn’t your typical tarot deck. It arrives in a box that looks like a recipe box your grandma would own. Inside there are recipe tabs holding the instruction booklet that begins with a fun “story” of how this deck came into existence, the Major Arcana, and the Minor Arcana.

No relationship is perfect. They all have their ups and downs, but maybe you’ve been dealing with an issue in a friendship or a romantic partnership that keeps repeating over and over and it’s starting to drive you nuts.
