There is no greater transition than the kind that the journey of grief pushes you into. It doesn’t matter if it’s a death, a loss of a job, the end of a relationship, the loss of a dream—grief can stop you in your tracks.
Sometimes our prayers or answers to questions we pose to Spirit aren’t actually answered directly from Spirit. These “indirect” answers are what are referred to as cledons. Cledons are defined as messages from Spirit—that aren’t meant to be a message from Spirit by those who are delivering them. Case in point: an email that landed in my inbox which was closely followed by a message posted by a friend of my husband.
I joke and tell my intuitive coaching and mediumship clients that I’m sort of like a phone operator. You call me and I call Spirit and pass along the information you are asking about—and while it does work like this for my work—it isn’t always so easy for myself. I have a few tried and true methods that help me, when it feels like Spirit isn’t picking up their direct line.

How do you connect to the other side? You follow the love. When I work with people to help them connect to their loved ones who have crossed over, the very first thing I seer feel is this blinding light full of love. The magnitude of it always takes my breath away.
This morning, while I was connecting to Spirit, I sent a prayer to Mary the Mother of Angels. I’ve had some challenging times being a mother to my young daughter, since we’ve moved. I prayed, “With all my heart, I want to be a better mother, a better nurturer. I want to find solutions to her struggles and be a better guide for my daughter on her journey. I want to be more patient, more supportive and most of all I want to teach her to come from a place of love and not fear. And so it is.” I sent the prayer up without a thought for how it would return or when I would “know” Mary had heard me.
